Friendly VOICES Program
The Friendly VOICES program builds friendships and limits social isolation for older adults who are isolated for reasons such as COVID-19. Volunteers can do virtual or in-person visits. Call Aging Connect at 212-AGING-NYC (212-244-6469) or apply online.
Silver Corps Volunteer Assignments for Older Adults
An AmeriCorps program that provides older adults with volunteer assignments at a partner organization, training, and/or credentialing to secure employment. Must be at least 55 years of age, an NYC resident, currently unemployed or underemployed, and commit to volunteering 15 hours per week in a nonprofit or government agency. Attend a virtual information session by completing the Silver Corps Interest Form linked on the website.
