Family Support Program and Benefits Counseling in the Bronx
Call 718-839-1100 to learn more about WHEDco's Family Support Services or to ask for an appointment. Family support services include public benefits counseling for benefits such as: SNAP, WIC referrals, cash assistance (PA, TANF, SafetyNet), Safelink and Assurance cell phones, social security, health insurance, citizenship and green card applications and renewals (plus fee waiver assistance), housing applications, Senior Rent Increase Exemption (SCRIE), and childcare.
Home-Based Childcare Program
WHEDco's Home-Based Childcare Program works with families to help them explore options, determine their eligibility for childcare subsidies, and provide orientation on how to select the right caregiver for their needs. Also offer support services to licensed, registered, and legally-exempt service providers through the Home-Based Childcare Training Program.
