City Bar Justice Center

The City Bar Justice Center furthers access to justice by addressing unmet civil legal needs of New Yorkers struggling with poverty and other systemic socioeconomic barriers. The Justice Center mobilizes law firms, corporate legal departments, and other legal institutions to provide pro bono legal services; educates the public on pertinent legal issues; fosters strategic community relationships; and impacts public policy.

Free Legal Hotline for People with Limited Income

Call the Legal Hotline to connect with staff attorneys who assist callers of limited income on a range of civil legal issues, including matrimonial and family law, housing law, domestic violence, bankruptcy, and debt collection and benefits. Our staff includes bilingual attorneys who speak English and Spanish, and we can accept calls in any language through interpreting services. The Hotline is open Monday through Thursday from 9:15 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. It's closed 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. daily
