Eviction Prevention Program
People in danger of being evicted can call the Eviction Prevention Hotline at 888-850-2712 on Wednesday mornings beginning at 9:30 am. Appointments are limited and first-come, first-serve. To qualify for a one-time payment of $1000 (on average), you must be in court, have a signed court stipulation, and have future ability to pay your ongoing rent.
Crisis Intervention Hotline for Shelter Services
Call the Crisis Intervention Emergency Hotline at 1-888-358-2384 with questions about accessing shelter or other services, including if you have been denied access to shelter. Leave a detailed message, including your phone number. The Intervention Program is based in NYC and only able to respond to questions regarding NYC services.
